We had a great room at the Fairmont. I loved the vanity area outside of the bathroom. The bathroom was large and had a large tub and separate shower stall, and a separate water closet. The view of the lake out of our window was beautiful. The bedding was very nice and comfortable.

This hotel has a great location - it is a short walk across the Chicago River bridge to the Magnificent Mile, Gold Coast, etc, but is still far enough away that you won't be swamped by those crazy crowds. It is also very close to Millennium Park (duh), the Art Institute of Chicago, and the EL trains.

My wife and I stayed at the Fairmont for two nights in March and we enjoyed our visit so much we returned again in April. The location is perfect, close to the action but removed enough from the craziness of Michigan Avenue. The hotel is well appointed and decorated, very clean, and comfortable. The staff is incredible!
